Caliente Sports Book & Casino is located on Andrea Quintana Roo Av due west of the Hotel Zone. Located in Paseo Cancun Mall, the neighborhood is safe and there are always plenty of cabs around to take you back to the Hotel when your ready. Note: Most of the staff does not speak English.
There have been many rumors circulating about US paper currency & Mexico. Be advised that the Bank of Mexico has issued a statement to the affect that only US currency in good condition will be accepted for exchange.
Worn, Torn or MARKED ON currency will not be accepted.
Make sure your US currency is in good shape before you leave for Cancun. Stop by your local USA bank and exchange questionable bills for new ones if you have any doubts.
Newly opened and reportedly not exactly tourist friendly, the new Playboy Club Casino is rather small in size. (No pun intended) Still living in the past with its 60's styled traditions, there is a $20.00(US) "Membership" fee that applies to all, including vacationers, just to walk inside. Stiff drink prices, soft drinks and coffee are $3 per. (Simply outrageous) This is one place to avoid. If you do venture in, brush up on your Espanol as none of the help speaks English, a real plus for a tourist area. Our call is Thumbs Down!
Not much to talk about here. The management and staff don't speak English and offered no information to our inquiries. They wouldn't even give us the hours of operation.
