Cancun Casinos Dubai Palace Casino
A trip to Cancun, Mexico would not be complete without a visit to one or two of the area casinos. Currently there are four casinos to choose from in Cancun and one that needs not be missed is the Dubai Palace. Located on Tulum Ave, east of the Plaza las America’s shopping mall, stepping inside is like entering a Sultans palace. Beautifully decorated, air conditioned, clean and well laid out this 65,000 sq. ft. facility rivals anything Vegas has to offer. You enter the main casino room to a view of over 400 electronic slots. The bar is to the right and just beyond, the dining area.
Open 24/7 365 days a year, you must be 18 to enter, excellent security and friendly smiles are the order of the day from the time you first walk in until it’s time to leave. My beautiful “tour guide” and floor manager Eugenia, from Argentina, showed me around this beautiful facility. Smoking is not allowed in the main casino but there is a separate casino room for smokers with a variety of electronic slots and free soda/coffee bar. The staff is courteous and professional and many speak English.
Handmade Asian tapestries adorn the walls and are available for purchase. Each order is individually sewn at the time of purchase so expect a 4-10 months for delivery.
For 75 pesos (about $7.00 US) you can dine at the “all you can eat” full buffet. Two full time chefs prepare some of the finest international cuisine offered in Cancun. Ample seating for about 150, Breakfast is from 8am till 11am, (8am till Noon on Sat./Sun.) lunch is from 2-5PM with a full menu available anytime and you can enjoy filet mignon for as little as 85 pesos. A cold beer from the bar is 20 pesos, unbelievable! There is no requirement to gamble so you can stop in anytime and enjoy the buffet. It’s worth it!
Comps abound at the Dubai Palace. After your meal, take your buffet receipt to the cashier and get 500 play credits (50 Pesos) added to your casino card, free. Quick trip for lunch? No problem, come back anytime to use them. In the slots room there is a free soda and coffee bar, help yourself!
Slots: Over 400 electronic slot machines are available for play. Stunning graphics and a variety of themes ranging from Terminator to Margarita Magic will keep the average slots player busy for a year.
Table Games: Table games and live cards are not currently legal in Mexico. This includes Blackjack, Roulette, Texas Holdem , Craps and Bacarrat.
