Juega Juega has recently replaced most of their older styled slots with the latest in electronic state of the art technology. In addition, they also have recently added new electronic roulette wheel.
Juega Juega
Located in the Gran Plaza shopping mall one block west of Av. Nichupte and Av. la Luna is the Juega Juega Casino. One of the smaller casinos in Cancun but don't let the size fool you, there is plenty of room to move about and lots of fun to be had. Juega Juega is on the second level of the mall right off of the food court. It is air conditioned, clean and has exceptional service. With over 200 new electronic slots, a full service bar and sports book room this neighborhood casino is sure to please. There is a separate outside entrance but if you're new it's a bit hard to spot from the parking lot.
The Bar
Maritza and Roberto run the night shift. You can always tell how good a bar is by the length of time the management has worked there. Maritza has been the bar manager since opening one and a half years ago. Beer starts at 20 Pesos and the mixed drinks are very reasonable Appetizers are free and Roberto keeps them coming. HD/TVs line the walls and a Hi-Def projector TV is cranked up for special events. I watched the Rangers win the play offs and the picture was spectacular.
Sports Book
The sports book room is to the right and seats about 50. Wi-Fi is available and laptops are allowed. 12 large HD/TVs show the action of all your favorite games and races. Sports bets are in US currency amounts but you can pay in either US dollars or Pesos at a 12:1. You can bet on the dogs, horses, NCAA, NFL and all US sports. $10 minimum bet on sports and $2 minimum on the dogs and ponies. Odds are always within half a point of the Vegas line and a reasonably wide variety of games are covered. If you're in the mall and just want to watch the game for a while, no problem, sit and enjoy with no obligation. The mall is a no smoking zone so smoking is not allowed.
Specials
There is always something special going on at Juega Juega. Hours are from 10am till 2am daily. Complimentary continental breakfast is served from 10am till Noon. The lunch menu offers burgers, nachos and club sandwiches all day. An evening buffet with open bar is offered on Thursday and Friday from 8PM till 11PM. Buy a 200 Peso play card or make a $10.00 (US) parlay in the sports book and the buffet and drinks are free. Coffee is always free.
The last Friday of every month it s party hardy time. Open bar, giveaways and special surprises all night.
Summary
Overall I highly recommend the Juega Juega. The neighborhood is safe. (I live about a block away) and there is outside security for your added safety. Prices are reasonable, service is great and the complimentary appetizers are homemade, not frozen. The company is licensed and has 5 other locations throughout Mexico. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in!
